Restaurant bewertenWe have visited several JD Wetherspoons all over the country. So during our recent stay in Islington, decided to have breakfast here.My husband ordered a large traditional breakfast and I opted for the vegetarian cooked breakfast. Both were presented nicely, and service was quite quick,however......both our breakfast's,apart from the hash browns, and sausages were cold.Do the kitchen staff understand that everything needs to be served hot?I don't think they do because we thought this was a one off event.Decided to give them a 2nd chance,so the following day, visited again for breakfast.Exactly the same thing happened, most items on our plates were COLD! Someone sat nearby complained about their own breakfast being cold, the waitress took it away to the kitchen, and returned a few minutes later.I later spoke to that customer who informed me on the 2nd attempt her breakfast was still served cold. She also told me there was no point in complaining because they obviously don't listen to their customers. She said they would never visit again, and sadly we're in the same mindset.Come on....please address this problem, everything on the plate needs to be served HOT! To the manager.....sort this out please, otherwise you'll be losing more customers.I'm emailing head office with my complaints.
Kaprice must be the worst bar person I’ve ever come across!!in all my years of frequenting Wetherspoon pubs I have never come across such a toxic horrible person!!! Seems to get great pleasure from bullying staff and customers!! Find a better place to drink than this hole!!!
Absolutely disgusting staff, and service here. You order food, it never arrives and then you don't receive a refund for it, despite requesting a refund twice. Even when I called after to request the refund again, they hung up on me. Honestly avoid, there are so many other places nearby to go to.
We visited just for a light breakfast. On arrival, the place felt dingy. None of the staff wore masks. I ordered tea and toast and the young lady serving me was rude and never said please or thank you. Not being an expert in Weatherspoons, I didn’t realise it was help yourself to hot drinks. The same lady just slammed two empty cups in the table without a word. When I worked out what to do, the tea bags were in a pint glass on top of the machine. Not very covid friendly. The food was quite nice but when my wife opened her marmalade, there was mould on the top. Another young lady was very apoplectic, so we didn’t cause a fuss. Very handy for Angel tube station but that’s about the only good point. Avoid.
We had a coffee in the pub while we were visiting the Angel and visiting a local restaurant. This is a typical Wetherspoons, decor ok, cheap drinks snd refillable hot drinks which is why we went in here as it was cold. We did not have any food so I can’t comment on the food. The staff were friendly. So just what you expect for a visit to this chain of pub.
