Restaurant bewertenThis is a great pub in a fantastic location. They have a good variety of well-maintained beers and a wide selection of spirits. While there has been a lot of staff turnover in the past couple of years, the employees are always friendly. I really appreciate the corner location and natural light that the pub gets, especially during quieter lunch times. The menu here is above standard pub food, but I'm not sure if it quite qualifies as a gastropub. Overall, it's a fantastic option in the Old Street City Road area.
We had a great lunch at this restaurant. I ordered the lunch special which included cod, fries, and a beer. The price was reasonable for London, but the soup was too thick for my liking.
I had to repeat my order three times to the male bartender and was ignored. When I tried to order my food for the third time, he told me that I was confused and I was not satisfied with the service.
I had a great time at this restaurant on Saturday afternoon. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I enjoyed some cold beer and apple wine. The fish and chips as well as the Caesar salad were delicious. The service was quick and efficient. Overall, a fantastic experience in London.
It was quiet when I was there, but I felt like I was in a cozy tavern on Pink Lane in Newcastle. This place is definitely worth a visit, although the wine prices are a bit high, the beer, cider, and lager prices are just right. If you're in the area, make sure to stop by, and children are welcome until 9pm.
