Ruthcliffe Lodge - Isle La Motte

We took a delightful escape from Montreal on a beautiful Sunday with temperatures hitting 30 degrees Celsius. Our bike tour around Isle La Motte was stunning, reminding us how wonderful life can be. In the late afternoon, we decided to stop by the Ruthcliffe Lodge Restaurant for a refreshment. Even though they weren't officially open, Kathy warmly welcomed us and served us an excellent local beer. Sitting on the deck by the lake was incredibly relaxing and pleasant. The food was fantastic, and the service was exceptional. The staff was very attentive, and the restaurant has been family-owned and operated for over 65 years, which truly seems to be the secret to its success. I highly recommend this place and can’t wait to return!

The menu offers a fantastic variety of options, and I always enjoy a delicious meal without exception. The location is beautiful as well.

As always, Mark and Kathy are involved owners, and Mark is an exceptional chef. He consistently prepares perfectly cooked, delicious meals. His fresh seafood is cooked to absolute perfection. The drive to historic Isle LaMotte is definitely worth it.
