Restaurant bewertenOrdered the daily meal, roasted chicken with pigs Jambalaya. The food was seasoned well, but the chicken was a little overcooked and dry. For the money, under $10, you can ask for better. The portion size was large. Come on, if they're really busy.
One of the busiest Cajun restaurant/store around! Well known across LA and by neighboring states! You can buy freshly cooked and frozen! They are very used to a crowd and have multiple people to assist whatever you want to eat and has plenty of cold drinks and multiple tables to eat there if you like. HIGHLY RECOMMEND going here as they've been in business for many many years! Everything they sell is amazing and will not be disappointed! Also recommend bringing a cooler if you buy as much as we do since we buy enough for the day and fill the freezer to use and eat later:
Came here at the suggestion of some boudin connoisseurs, what a great place! We left with stomachs full of Pepper Jack boudin balls and lots of frozen items to go. The hot lunch plates also looked popular, as many people came here for a lunch to go. There was also a nice seating area with plenty of room and a small area with some grocery and snack items. Everyone was very friendly and helpful.
Fried catfish was huge and delicious! I ate a piece before I thought about taking a picture. Hubby had the chicken tenders which were also huge and he said they were very good. Onion rings were good also. Very nice, friendly people. Large gravel parking lot in the back that will accommodate RVs.
I had the best boudin ever at this place! They put it on the BBQ pit in San Antonio, Texas and it was amazing. I'm glad they also have room for a velvety. I will definitely be buying more food on my way home.
