Cute place to shop and get local produce. Delicious meat, bread, vegetables, candy, honey, etc. Friendly shop owners.

The Farmers Market is a regular favorite for people from all over Iowa City. In addition to fresh produce and baked goods, there are wonderful local crafts. People generally look for their favorite vendors, but discovering new vendors is also part of the fun. Food trucks add some variety and options.

This is one of my favorite Farmer's markets in the mid-west. We always go there when visiting Iowa City. The produce is outstanding and the vendors really care about their products. I bought some beets, even though I've never cooked them before. The farmer assured me I would love them and texted me a recipe for roasted beets with a balsamic/honey glaze. She said if I didn't love them she'd refund my money. I am now a beets fan?. Also picked up some locally made artisanal hot sauce. WOW, so good it blew my mind, both literally and figuratively ?
