Restaurant bewertenWe had a truly excellent takeaway meal from this restaurant. Lemon chicken was excellent as were the beef dishes. Large order prepared quickly and efficiently. Nice service. We'll be back
We were celebrating my daughter's birthday and Chinese is her favourite. Hadn't tried Rice Kitchen before, but the menu looked like what we were after and prices are reasonable. It didn't disappoint. We ordered a total of 12 dishes so we really got a taste of a diverse range. Everything was just 'yum'! They had several banquet menus too. BYO suited us fine. Service was great and the couple running it were really delightful. My parents in from out-of-town asked if we could have the next birthday celebration there. And I think we will!
I've been coming to the Rice Kitchen for well over 10 years...initially at Lane Cove and now in Pittwater Road. Whenever we are back in Sydney, its a must do at least once and sometimes twice. Its small and family run...the same people for many years. Might not be the cheapest Chinese around, but prices are still very reasonable, portions are generous, service is great, and you will never be disappointed. If you call a day or so ahead they will order in your choice of fish and cook it as you wish.Try the excellent Hometown Chicken, Salt & Pepper King Prawns (or pork rib), the Spicy Pork Mince with Snake Beans, pineapple fried rice. A bonus is the small dessert that's usually free for a table of 4 or so. The bitter melon jelly with coconut milk is nice to finish off the meal, although lately its been mango pudding.
While this wasn't the cheapest Chinese food that I have ever had, it is certainly the best that I have had the pleasure to have eaten. The fried rice was something very special and the seafood combination was some of the nicest seafood that I have eaten for many years. You can now eat in at their very bright and clean restaurant.Their portions are very generous and well worth the prices that are charged. The service is first rate and is the best of all of the small group of shops that it sits among. Can't wait to get back to Sydney again to have their food again.
This is little place that run by family business. It was recommended by one of my friend. The food tastes very nice. I believe the chef knew how to cook good Chinese food. Not too oily and salty. Also, they have something that not show on menu. You need to ask the boss and reserve before hand. One of quality Chinese restaurant
