Caffeine - Hout Bay

I ordered an avocado and bacon toasted sandwich. I found that there was hardly any bacon, and I felt there should have been at least two sandwiches on the plate. However, the ingredients were fresh and tasty, and they included a lovely side salad that was a nice touch. My boyfriend opted for the French toast, which he enjoyed; the yogurt served with it paired well. The prices for the meals were reasonable, and it’s definitely a good spot to grab a quick bite if you're in the area.

The coffee is excellent, the atmosphere is lovely, and the staff is friendly and helpful. I will definitely be returning soon because the food is fantastic. Be sure to try their eggs Benedict, as well as the pea and ham soup and toasted panini!

This unassuming spot serves up some decent food. I popped in for a quick lunch and ordered the chicken mayo, which was very tasty (I loved the addition of fresh, crunchy chopped onion to the mix). I was also super impressed by the mini side salad, which at most cafes is usually a damp splodge of lettuce and tomato. This one was full of colourful beetroot and carrot and drizzled with a delish vinaigrette. I ate the lot. Overall a lovely spot for a mid-shopping-spree refuel!
