Miller's Cafe Downtown - Houston

Probably the best burgers I've had in Texas. I had their chicken club most recently, which was amazing. Had a good amount of bacon on it too. Which reminds me on my previous visit, I got the BLT. I assumed it would be light on the bacon similar to anyother place I've been, so I ordered double bacon. I was so wrong and regretted my decision. I would not be surprised if therewas literally two pounds of bacon on that thing. So much bacon. Their sweet potato fries are really good too. The seating islimited, but feel free to sit in the more open area of the tunnel outside of the restaurant. They will come find you with yourorder.

Like certain other things, everyone has an opinion. This is mine. I have frequented Miller's downtown for man years now. The food is very good and reasonably priced. The service is excellent, and very quick for fast, fresh cooked food. I am not sure of all the employees names, but they are all friendly and care about their customers. Carol, who takes the orders is a sweetheart, and strives to make everyone's order correct. Oh yeah, she does ask if you want a receipt! I dine there a lot with my friend because it is close to me, but also because the food is great, and we are treated like royalty! Thanks guys.

I always get the blue cheese burger because when I find something great, I'll stick to it. The onion rings have a good thickness and have great breading. The seating area is crowded and oddly shaped, but has the benefit of being near a food court area. It's always the same lady behind the counter and her service is on point and friendly. I would give them five stars, but they are always super busy when I go to lunch and a bit noisy with the crowd. That is the side effect of being a great food joint, though.

Good burgers. They are very generous with the sides and reasonably priced for downtown. Had the jalapeño cheese burger with the poppy seed bun. Very tasty and flavorful. They loaded the burger with jalapeños unlike many that just give you a few slices, I even had to take some out because it got too spicy. The melty cheese brought the whole burger together. The patty was cooked well done and slightly dry. The sweet potato fries were good too, but cut a little too thinly.
