Restaurant bewertenJoined some friends for lunch here the other day. The interior is nicely designed, trendy, cool and comfortable. The service was good. Did not want for anything. Food was hit and miss. I would recommend the shrimp louise salad I had for my main, big portion, lots of flavor. The deviled eggs were nothing special and the artichoke dip was fine but also nothing special. My dining companions enjoyed their crab cakes and french fries, but I personally did not try them. I would go back but it might be the kind of place where you learn what dishes they are good at.
My family and I visited merus on my birthday and I was very happy with our experience. the personal is very friendly, the ambiente is cozy and welcoming, there is a rather extensive wine and drink list, and everything we ordered was delicious! we ordered appetizers and drinks at our meals and I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable price design (as far as restaurants go). I will definitely visit again!
Delicious food. Great prices. Good portion sizes. We dined here for the first time on 11/20 for my birthday dinner.I made an online reservation for 8:00 pm. We arrived at 7:52 but table wasn’t ready until 8:03. We sat at the bar while we waited. The bartender gave us popcorn that was really good. I can’t put my finger on the seasonings though.Once sat it took a minute for the waiter to actually greet us and get our drink orders. The midnight margarita was good. The food arrived fast! We placed our food order at 8:30 and it arrived at 8:43 pm.The food was delicious and perfectly seasoned. I ordered the brasserie chicken and my boyfriend ordered the pan roasted salmon. We got a side of the “not your ordinary Mac cheese”. The broccoli and mashed potatoes were room temperature when delivered to the table so I sent those back and requested them to be heated up. After that, everything was perfect.Customer service could be better. The vibe from the hostesses was not all that welcoming. Our primary server seemed a bit distracted. However, his teammates who brought the food to the table, and periodically checked on us made up for his shortcomings. They do not give a free birthday dessert like some other places. The place was busy! Reservations are recommended.
Food: AAmbiance: AService: A+Cleanliness: A+Parking: Plenty and FreeThis is a Houstons Restaurant Reboot. Everything you like about Houstons you will like about this place. Everything you don't like about Houstons (no happy hour) you won't like about this place.I thought everything was on point. People raved about the avocado bomb. It was gorgeous to look at but the use of mayonnaise on the crab was very generous. The main meals were delicious and the key lime pie was on point.I'd go back!
Came here on a late Sat afternoon. It wasn’t that crowded and the friendly hostess sat me at a booth in the bar area where they have a couple TV’s. The ambiance here is great! Restaurant is huge too. The blanco red headed martini was delicious and potent. Even comes with a sidecar. Grilled artichoke was good and I could slurp the dipping sauce through a straw it was so delicious! Ordered the hot chicken sandwich as my entree. It wasn’t that great. It needed more sauce for moisture. Didn’t care for the cole slaw on top. Fries were very good. Steak burger is juicy and flavorful. Gruyere Mac and cheese is better than Mastro’s. It has a smooth flavor and creamy texture. The key lime pie is soooo good! Portion size was big enough for people. Jacob C provided phenomenal service. I will become a regular here and I can’t wait to go back.
