Loving Hut Kaka'ako - Honolulu

The place is really small and cluttered, food took quite a long time to come out even though it was just the two of us there. I can't remember the price much but the food portions were really small given the time it took, the ingredients looked very replicable, taste wise, it was fine. We did receive a free chocolate mousse which was lovely and yummy. A bit hard to locate the restaurant.

Delicious food made by a lovely human who you can tell takes pride in this craft! Don’t expect standard ingredients as a certain one might not be in season; it gets replaced by something similarly delicious! I couldn’t be happier with how I chose to spend my money on dinner today.

The service was pleasant, the interior was clean, and there was a nice selection of vegan dishes. This location offers more options compared to the King Street branch and also features lunch specials. The summer rolls were delicious, and the drumsticks tasted good, although we were unsure of what exactly we were eating. Overall, the dishes tended to be a bit heavy on soy, salt, and fried ingredients. It would be great to see a few more healthy and fresh options on the menu, as well as healthier drink choices, like kombucha. It somewhat felt like vegan Chinese food. Nevertheless, I’m grateful for the availability of plant-based options in general.
