Kona Brewing Co. - Honolulu

I'm going to bump up Kona Brewing one more star because I tried another beer of theirs that I liked quite a bit more. I got the Hanalei Island IPA and was impressed quite a bit more compared to their Longboard Lager. This IPA was very fruity and light. It's more like a Session IPA where you can relax and have several without getting too loopy which is a nice change of pace. I do occasionally like session beers and this one is I nice one to have.

We came here for burgers and beer. The atmosphere is fun and the location is awesome being right on the water. The wait staff were friendly and courteous. However, I ordered my burger medium well and they even came back to check to see that was how I wanted it cooked. When it arrived, it was definitely medium rare. The waitress acknowledged the mistake and took it away. My husband 's burger was as he requested and by the time my second burger arrived, he was over half way done with his meal. I felt we should have been compensated in a small way, i.e. a free beer or half price for the burger, but nothing was offered. That is the reason for the 4 star instead of 5. The burgers were excellent and the beers were good. I liked that you could get fresh vegetables with your burger. That night, it was fresh green beans and they were cooked perfectly. Very tasty. Despite the mistake, I would recommend and would return when we are back in the area.

Brewery in a prime location and beautiful views to the bay. They offer a variety of beers with unusual and frutal flavors. I'd recommend trying at least two if their beers.Food is served here as well.Easy parking at the shopping center. Bus stop a couple of minutes away.

It was my second time here, each time was after hiking Koko Crater. Nothing better after a hike than tacos and a nice cold beer surrounded by a nice scenery of the water and boats by the pier.

Great food, good service, and beautiful views beers was tasty off thee water by the docks.
