Restaurant bewertenI saw this place that McCully Buffet on Instagram was the only ?Premium, Fine Dining? Seafood and Yakiniku Buffet and wanted to check the place. We visited the restaurant on Thursday night, we called 30 minutes before arrival and they got us right in! The spicy beef soup was a late spice very delicious. Japchae. It was in the middle of everything else. What disappointed me after all their social media advertisements. The selection of meats was under otherwise everywhere (Gen, Gyu Kaku) and they could not be regarded as a premium. The shrimp color looked creepy, even to consume. I love salmon kama, but did not even want to try because, how crusty / old the cooked salmon looked. The sushi is questionable because of the temperature (not cold) because the nitrili and sashimi sit, which makes me worry. Shrimp tempura very fat / oily. No crab legs or scallops. Water had terrible taste, strong perfume (can be over soap) We could serve on the buffet line. Service was really good. It changed the grill three times and also delivered a refill on the soda. No ice cream. Dessert was jello, very hard. I had to spit mine into a napkin, it was so bad. When the bill came, we noticed self-satisfaction. I really like it when a business does that for a party of 2. Then, to continue to see, they added the bliss and subtotal and then taxed it! Wow! We go to pay and they have a fee for credit card transactions based on your entire bill because they do not want to pay the processing fee. Bad business model to put all this on your customers made a bad taste in our mouth after an under-average meal.
This place is too expensive for what it is. The Korean bbq meats felt old and dry. And the buffet had very little choice. Beware of this place, its not worth it. The staff was friendly and attentive.
For some reason, my review is no longer here, so I guess I have to re-write it. First of all, if my pictures make you think that the food here is good, I'm sorry. I'm trying to give them the best chance. The reality is that the food here is below average at best. The food that should be hot or warm is cold instead, and food that should be kept cooler (like the sushi) is warm. The salmon tasted like it had been sitting out for a while, and considering they were pretty fast with replenishing the supply at the buffet, that tells me that wherever they're keeping it in the prep area is not suitable. Same goes for the raw meat. I normally like my beef on the rare side, but I not only had to cook everything well done, I had to purposely overcook them a little bit just to get rid of that stale meat taste. Full disclosure, I did come here a little later in the day, but that doesn't excuse the staleness of the food they had out in the buffet. And mind you, I was there over an hour before last call. And people were still continuing to arrive, and they were still continuing to put food out at the buffet. So the total lack of freshness in their food is absolutely inexcusable. The scallops were good though, that's one bright spot. However, that doesn't redeem this place by far. If you're in Hawaii and you feel like you really want yakiniku or kbbq style food, you're better off going to GEN or Gyu-Kaku. These places are franchises, so while their food may not be excellent, they are at least consistently good. Do yourself and your party a favor: skip this restaurant.
Twas ok. ?????? Need to stand in line a few feet apart from another patrons of course patiently wait to be served by one of the workers. Majority of the time, there was just one single worker, helping to serve the many, various dishes to patrons. Felt bad that there was only one worker whom was doing their best to serve various dishes for hungry patrons to choose from. ? Went there this past weekend for my birthday brunch. My daughter her fiancee had chosen this place to eat. ??????? Plethora of various sushi, poke, side dishes cuts of meats sauces to choose from. There was also soft drinks a list of different alcohols to choose from ; which we did not indulge in, especially since their sohu was almost $10/ bottle ... ? There was 3 kinds of soups also a Soft Serve Ice cream machine that had vanilla, chocolate or you can combine a mix 2 flavors in. You put on disposable gloves, to make/serve yourself your flavor(s) of your choice into a small dessert bowl. Their various types of meats to cook were so/so. ???????????. I honestly wouldn't go back there again to eat. Nor would I recommend others to eat there. Sorry ,folks... ??????? I'm Just being honest. ?????
Awsome food, it's really fresh. Has a grill to cook your own meats as well. Good customer service. I loved it.
