Restaurant bewertenI went with a friend for predinner drink around 6pm (they just open at that time). Highball was very good, big ice, high quality glass, precooled whisky. Then we noticed they have plenty of gins, so after the highball classic we asked the owner (Japanese lady) for suggestions of a couple of unusual gins. After some thinking, my buddy settled on a saffron one red in colour and I went for an italian tomato one (in the pics, if you are interested). I had it with ice and he added soda. Btw the bar is made of granite or some kind of stone, I liked that. 1h, 2 people, 4 high quality drinks, nice setting, around hkd500 total, perfect.
The whiskey selection was amazing. I recommend trying it with the whiskey chocolate. Also Japanese bartender Yuko san was very friendly. We will definitely come back and check out the rare wines upstairs next time.
This is a very secret place which I won't like to have too many people here. Because I like the way they serve. The Japanese whisky the y offer. With fewer people , I will be able to enjoy the best Japan whisky bar.
Simply excellent from the unassuming entrance, atmosphere, service (do ask for recommendations the staff certainly know what they are serving) to the excellent liquor itself. I’ve been returning here since 2016. A must visit whether you’re staying in the city or just passing by.
Went there last week on the first night of reopening for bars after lifting of some of the social distancing restrictions. One of our best nights in a long time! Yuko-chan certainly knows her whiskies and is a great host. Enjoyed the generous pours of single malts and conversations with her. Due to the government policies, please make sure you get vaccinated and have the record ready (the QR code is required).
