Restaurant bewertenAlthough the location and atmosphere were excellent, unfortunately, that was the only positive aspect of our experience. Our family waited 35 minutes with empty tables before finally ordering brunch. The server was friendly and polite, but it seemed that the kitchen was severely understaffed. Our food arrived cold and was not worth the $135.00 price tag. With more restaurants opening up in the area, we have decided to explore other options and will not be returning here.
I visited this restaurant for brunch and absolutely loved their avocado toast and eggs benedict. The chicken waffle was also delicious, with the chicken cooked inside the waffle, making it much easier to eat. I was surprised to find that no other place offers a chicken waffle like this one!
It would be great if the restaurant offered a vegetarian appetizer option. Instead, we had to order spicy brussel sprouts as a starter, which were sweet, charred, and just the right amount of spicy. I wish there was less sauce so I could taste the veggies more. The only vegetarian entree available was the eggplant cannelloni, but the eggplant was thinly sliced and tough, making it less enjoyable to eat. The concept is interesting, but the eggplant should be a soft filling instead. The red snapper special with risotto was delicious, but the crawfish topping had a bad smell. Once I removed them, the dish was great. The perfectly cooked risotto was impressive. The cocktails were good, but I would like to see more options on the craft cocktail menu. The dessert, a chocolate option, tasted good but was served in a cheap-looking Mason jar on top of beautiful pottery. Our server was friendly and accommodating, as were all the employees. The decor was dark, calming, and masculine, but overall we were not impressed enough to return.
The food at the restaurant was fantastic. However, the service did not match the high prices. My dinner companion's meal was not prepared as requested (ordered rare, received medium-well). Our dishes were brought out in a confusing order, with my salsa arriving with his entree, followed by my entree two minutes later, and the appetizer 5 minutes after that. While the drinks were tasty, our waiter was not very attentive and I would have liked a second drink.
We had a reservation for 30 people. Unfortunately, the kitchen was out of the first two items we ordered, which was not the server's fault. However, the server seemed to have very few tables and was not very attentive. Our second round of drinks took too long to arrive and we didn't receive any water refills or check-ins throughout the meal. The food was just okay.
