Restaurant bewertenMy last visit to the Hotel Café was for Gal Musette’s album release party, which was packed. I must admit, I presented her five years ago when I ran my own venue in Santa Ana. Yes, she is the daughter of a friend, but even back then, she was an incredible singer-songwriter, and she has only grown bigger since. Tonight, I came to see Alicia Witt. Many might recognize her as an actress from Twin Peaks, The Sopranos, or Nashville, but she is also an excellent singer-songwriter. I met her back in 2015 through my friend Amber Tamblyn during a game night. Amber invited me to join them at a bar, leading to a memorable encounter with Alicia, who had just started breaking into the music scene. This was my fourth time at the Hotel Café, and three of those visits were for Alicia’s performances. I really like the venue—the staff is always professional and friendly, and it has a classic atmosphere. Drinks are reasonably priced compared to most clubs, definitely not cheap, but consistent. Additionally, I appreciate that they take COVID precautions seriously, checking vaccination cards (which I always carry) and requiring masks when not drinking. Overall, with the impressive talent they regularly book, some of which I even have in my own DJ collection, I think the Hotel Café is more than just a great venue. If I were richer and more tolerant of traffic—driving all the way from Anaheim or L.A.—I’d visit more often. For those already in L.A., it’s definitely one of the city’s hidden gems.
This is such a charming and intimate venue for live performances! I've visited many times and always have a great time. The service is top-notch, and the entertainment is fantastic. Plus, the bartenders are friendly and welcoming!
My friend and I were curious about the restaurant, and the two young hosts at the front were very welcoming. It turned out to be a fantastic place that we instantly fell in love with. It's a great spot for live music, showcasing both emerging and established talent. The relaxed atmosphere makes it perfect for a wonderful date night. I can't wait to return when I'm back in Hollywood!
Amazing music, vibes and staff was super friendly! Only wish there was a similar spot in West LA
Very good spot to see an intimate show. Sound is always good and the staff is super friendly. Small venues like Hotel Cafe play such a vital role in developing new artists- please support Hotel Cafe by going to a show.
