Restaurant bewertenThe agrar kitchen is definitiw one must be when they are in hobart. exemplified eating and amazing execution on every dish that is brought on our table. they will truly experience the authenticity of seasonal products. fresh, simple, but very innovativ.
This was a fantastic dining experience. The restaurant is in a beautifully re-purposed facility. The service was brilliant. The food itself was absolutely incredible. The produce was premium and it was served in a number of creative ways that made for excellent flavour combinations. Everything about this dining experience was memorable and I cannot wait to return.
Absolutely divine. Each plate was soo well thought out and heroes local produce so well. That lunch experience was one for the books.
Agrarian was high on my places to visit in Tassie. We absolutely loved the first dishes the flavours worked so well together, and it was such a beautiful place to sit and eat, with lovely hospitality. Unfortunately the desserts were a definite miss neither my partner nor I could finish any of the dessert dishes. We are definitely keen to come back (hopefully with a different dessert on the menu next time
We came to Agrarian Kitchen with high expectations and whilst some dishes met the lofty highs, most were only ok. Firstly service was extremely lacklustre. We were sitting for 25 mins before being introduced to the set menu. The food came at a steady pace thereafter but the service was cold. It is not a cheap set menu at $130 pp, and you will certainly not leave there feeling like you got value for money. Firstly the good. The mackerel dish, stellar. Amazing balance of flavours with the acidity of the tomatoes and oily savouriness of the fish. Dish of the day was the carrots. Wow, the carrot and orange juice broth is simply to die for. I would drink that by the bucketloads, wonderful complexity and celebration of a humble vegetable. Ricotta and greengage was very good, but standout of the desserts was the Jerusalem artichoke caramel, fantastic savouriness. Onto the not so good. Oyster was served warm/room temp with an oil, it was not good. Poor temperature choice and poor execution in flavours. Vegetables with aioli was very unimaginative. Danish tasted stale. Sourdough bread served was not warm which I think is a miss for a fine dining institution. Pork was cooked well but flavour was underwhelming. Serving sizes were small. Overall a slightly above average experience but would not recommend on a visit to Hobart with so many other great eateries about.
