Restaurant bewertenI waited 40 minutes without receiving even a glass of water. Eventually, I gave up and left. I recommend going up the road to Battery Point instead.
We stayed in salamanca wharf hotel and the stay included breakfast in salamanca wharf cafe. I didn't wish it was terrible. on the first day I had the corn fritters and my son has the pancakes. the pancakes were like gum, totally inedible....They replaced them with wad and they were worse. he didn't eat anything. the corn fritters were even worse. the egg above was stone cold, no heat at all and the frit were teig. they threw other things on the teller like cherry tomatoes and smoked laughs, but it just didn't work. I told them that this was cold and the cook came and said it wasn't cold, I told him to check, and he agreed that it was stone cold. he brought a new plate with a warm egg, but given the frit were so bad I totally lost my appetit. the coffee was also terrible. the second day was better, we had the early piecesburger and the speck and egg roll, that was good and the coffee was much better. we also had a freshly pressed orange juice, that was very good. on the third day we ordered the same breakfast burger as the day before, but they ran out of hash browns, so it could not do for me what caffe runs from hash browns? my son ordered the eggs of the toast, look photo, seriously over boiled and looked terrible. the orange juice came with celery in it, pieces green crisp celery, they clearly did not flush out the previous customer juice, they had celery in their. the coffee was okay today, but not great. if you stay at the hotel salamanca wharf, you will enjoy one and do not include an breakfast.
We were looking for a breakfast spot and stumbled upon this place online. Unlike most busy breakfast cafés in Hobart, this place was not crowded. However, when we walked in, we were greeted by four young girls who seemed to be friends with the waitress or manager. They left their table as soon as we arrived, but no effort was made to clean the dirty dishes and menus left behind. The table, seats, and menus were all dirty, so we decided to leave and find another restaurant. We ended up at a different place that was busy with friendly staff and had a much better experience.
We had a 7am reservation but when we arrived, the chef opened the door at 7:05 and said he was the only one working. We had to write down our orders and the waitress took our coffee orders at around 7:15. Only one meal out of the eight we ordered came within 10 minutes, the rest took 45 minutes or longer. The meals sat on the counter for 15 minutes before being served. When we complained, they offered to make new meals and the next batch came at 7:45, with the last one arriving at 8:12. When we went to pay, we felt it was unfair to be charged the full rate. The waitress explained there was a holiday surcharge, but we pointed out that it was not a holiday in Tasmania on December 21st. Despite the issues, the food was eventually satisfactory and we may consider returning.
The title says everything. came with the family, should have gone straight. there was an unfortunate table of 8 sitting grumpy. I soon realized that they were grumpy to wait for her to eat! our breakfast lasted 45 minutes. average food., definitionw not worth the wait.
