Brisbane Hotel - Hobart

I absolutely loved everything about this place - from the sticky floors, unique furniture, lively atmosphere, and loud music, it was definitely my kind of pub. The food was delicious, with a wide selection of vegetarian/vegan options making it a great choice for dinner.

This is a large local pub. If you're not into getting down on the floor and being a bit silly, then this might not be the place for you. But if that's your thing, you'll love it. The food is great, the atmosphere is fun, the beer selection is good, and the service is on point. Just as it should be.

I agree with some other reviewers that this is an average common appearance on the inside. The concrete floor, laminate tables and ordinary toilets (although I agreed, I only saw the men who was very "Trainspotting". What I loved was billiard tables, rather than Pokies, and two bars, the fine, live Australian musical talent. Sound and lighting well done. Nostalgic brought me back to the early 80s Sydney (The Cool Beanz rocked).

Beautiful old pub on the outside, but that's where it ends. With sticky floors throughout the expensive beers, easy to eat pub grub, cold comedy, disgusting toilets, no dining room, cheap broken tables and chairs in bar area, no heating anywhere to see. Everything... that freezes us.

If you feel like having a beer at a basic nice old pub this is a good place to go no frills, just a bar with music at nights.
