Restaurant bewertenToday, we went to Three Moorhens for lunch and had an extremely disappointing experience. It was a hot and busy day, but it was clear that the restaurant was severely understaffed. The bar was overcrowded and the single bartender serving was visibly stressed and irritable. It took us twenty minutes to be served, and the bartender seemed unable to prioritize customers who had been waiting the longest. Some customers were left waiting for over twenty minutes, while others were served immediately. The bartender was loudly complaining about her job and life in general. Eventually, we got our drinks and found a table in the garden. The table was dirty and covered with trash. The only server was running around trying to keep up with the demand. We ordered our food, but after waiting for around thirty minutes, my wife went to check on our order. The server aggressively defended the staff's efforts, ignoring our simple inquiry and storming off. Disgusted by the level of service, I demanded a refund from the manager. Although he claimed they were busy, he refunded our money and promised to address the issue with the staff member. Despite its convenient location and large garden area, Three Moorhens has appalling customer service and incompetent staff. I cannot speak for the quality of the food, as we never got to try it. Based on our experience, I would not trust anything made in their kitchen. We will not be returning.
The staff at this restaurant are very friendly, but the Sunday lunches are disappointingly plain and unappetizing. I highly recommend skipping this place if you're looking for a delicious Sunday meal.
The food was delicious and the staff was friendly and welcoming. I recommend that everyone try it out xx.
I was very impressed with the dining experience at this restaurant. The food was excellent, but what really stood out was the friendly and happy staff. We will definitely be returning.
The Three Moorhens is located on the outskirts of Hitchin, towards Stevenage, so having transportation is recommended. Fortunately, there is a large car park available so parking is never an issue. This popular pub offers decent pub food at very affordable prices. It is a family-friendly establishment, perfect for enjoying a Sunday roast together. They often have meal deals available, making it a great value option in the area. Overall, The Three Moorhens is a recommended spot, especially for families with children.
