Restaurant bewertenWe never thought that a local Japanese restaurant serving decent sushi would open in the western suburbs! Located near some of our favorite restaurants, we finally got the chance to try out Izumi. The pricing for the sushi, in our opinion, is fair and absolutely worth it, despite what others may say. Let's dive into each dish. The spicy tuna was a bit of a letdown for us. It was good, but not great. The lack of sauce and too much sticky rice compared to tuna made the flavor unbalanced. However, the other sushi options were very good. The salmon rolls were fresh and tasty, almost as good as hand rolls. The soft shell crab and aburi salmon were standouts for us. The soft shell crab was our favorite, and we would recommend getting two of those instead of the spicy tuna. It was fresh, crispy, succulent, and full of flavor from the sauces and seaweed. A must-try. The aburi salmon was thick and melted in your mouth. Japanese tea helped wash it all down, and we finished with a delightful mochi ice cream, which may have been straight from the freezer but still tasted good. We recommend this place for the soft shell crab and aburi salmon. Overall, we gave it a rating of 3.5 out of 5 for food, service, ambiance, and value.
Me and my boyfriend was there for lunch last week. The restaurant decorations was nice. It gives you a feeling of Japanese . The food was great everything so fresh except the oysters.
Came here with friends for a night out, pick a lot of food, plus had vodkas, and it cost us $25 each. Bargain. And the food was absolutely delicious, we will be back, this time making room for dessert.
Absolutely adore Izumi! Wonderful food and the restaurant is always clean and relaxed. Ingredients are fresh and the Japanese mayo is to die for, I simply cannot get enough.
Loved it. Fresh food, great service. We always order about 7 to 8 entrees for 2 people plus 2 beers and pay around $80. Great value for money and satisfying. Sushi and sashimi is melting in your mouth.
