Tacos Chinelo - Hendersonville

Fabulous street tacos. We tried this place on a whim and were lucky to be carrying cash. Shockingly good for Hendersonville. The hot sauce is serious but good.

A VERY distinctive taco shop! This is a great alternative to the numerous taco trucks around Hendersonville. They serve all types of non-traditional tacos here; Thai style Vientnames styel, Greek style. All very tasty, creative, and distinctive. Their beer selection looks quite good, although I had a margartia the last time I was there. If I'm in the mood for a traditional Mexican taco, I'll go elsewhere. But when I want something delicious yet out-of-the-ordinary, this is my go-to place. The place gets pretty crowded at lunchtime on weekends. Suggest going at off-peak hours. Added bonus: My wife is not a drinker, and they offer non-aloholic cocktails here.

The tacos are pretty good, and I love the sope. I've enjoyed the birria quesadillas when they have them, and I'm pleased with the salsas as well.

Had been to one when visiting in Greenville, SC a few months ago, so gave this one a try. A good variety of tacos. They were excellent. Was taken aback when the cashier asked if I wanted to add a tip at a fast food place? No.

Disappointed. Cheese quesadilla ordered, got chicken. Spicy chicken tacos ordered, got buffalo. She didn't listen. Won't be back.
