Restaurant bewertenWe made a reservation for two adults and five children in the morning while heading to the restaurant. However, I received a call informing me that they were closed due to a water leak. We were all very disappointed and struggled to find another place, as everything was fully booked. The evening turned out to be terrible, and we ended up arguing because we had nowhere else to go. We will never book there again and will be deleting the app.
The restaurant was clearly very busy, with no seats available at the counters as people waited for their meals. There were no sauces available without gravy, and everything that you might want to order was unavailable. There was also no guidance provided for the menu.
While the meat selection was good and quite tasty, it was ultimately a bit disappointing. The choices were limited; there was no cauliflower, broccoli, or carrots. The carrots were so hard they were nearly raw, and although I usually enjoy my veggies with a bit of crunch, this was excessive. The macaroni and cheese was so dry that it was almost inedible. The fried potatoes looked nice but lacked crispiness, and the Yorkshire puddings were as flat as pancakes. On a positive note, the staff were polite and efficient, and the overall cleanliness of the place was commendable.
This carvery had a great atmosphere and was nearly full on a weekday evening. The food was enjoyable, offering a choice of four different meats and an assortment of vegetables. There were a few issues, such as having to order drinks at the counter. Additionally, the carrots and onions could have been cooked a bit longer. Overall, I would recommend this place.
We were greeted by a friendly staff member who promptly escorted us to our table. The waitress quickly took our drink orders and made us feel very welcome. Thank you, Sarah!
