Sun Restaurant - Hazelwood

They were very busy, but we didn't wait too long for our order. The food was good.

Just don't say enough about their Gizzards!!!! ALWAYS was worth the trip for lunch. Tragically, I lost my friend/trainer/employee/employer/brother-in-spirit to a deadly crash last year. 8 months later I was there at noon, so decided to go. Memories almost prevented me from going to the house (and a little broken), but he loved Sun's very much, so I went to this wonderful restaurant where he first introduced me. As good as I remember

Gizzard are delicious (all I tried with them). My half order was enough for 2 people!!

I ordered the lamb dogs to eat here for the first time, but not my last. The lamb dogs were delicious. The rice was grilled tomato. You didn't disappoint!

OMG...the chicken livers were to die for...crispy and well cooked. Half order is served with onions and rice. The half order is over flowing...my only suggestion with the half add either brown or white gravy. We also had a full order hot braised chicken wings (generous portions at least 15 wings). My only suggestion would be less salt/sodium in the recipe. Also if you decide to try this restaurant place your order in advance...we spent 30 minutes in the drive up window. Staff very courteous. And yes I'm coming back again to try other items!
