Mack's On The River - Hattiesburg

Billboards say check it out. People talk about it. So we checked it out. Two (2) buffets and two (2) meals off the menu. The desserts were delicious. Fried filets, fries, grits, shrimp, crawdads, chicken strips I believe. The first buffet I've enjoyed since 03/2020. If in Hattiesburg I will return.

I had a fantastic time there! The seafood platter was overflowing with delicious food. This was my first visit, and I loved it!

I could go on and on about how fantastic the food is, but words wouldn't do it justice. If you haven't had a chance to dine here, you definitely should. The food truly is outstanding, and the staff is wonderful as well. In my opinion, it's the best buffet around.

The buffet was quite expensive for what was offered. It seems the prices have increased, likely due to COVID. So if you're checking the menu online, you might want to add around $12 to the listed prices. Aside from that, the food was enjoyable.

Macks on the River offers incredible value for the price! The food was expertly prepared and perfectly seasoned, even the frog legs! They have a wide variety of menu options to choose from. I didn't catch the name of the gentleman who greeted us—he may have been the owner—but he was very friendly and made us feel right at home. Our waitress was fantastic; she returned to our table at just the right moments and was very friendly and attentive. If I find myself in Hattiesburg again, I will definitely return! Thank you for a wonderful experience. As a seafood lover, I can say it was worth every penny! The scenery was also peaceful and beautiful.
