Restaurant bewertenWe have been members of this club for 6 years. We used to regularly go for breakfast, but our usual service providers, Brenda and Andy, have retired. The new staff members are completely incompetent. We had to wait for half an hour for our two breakfasts, only to be told that we had not paid for both meals. When I brought this to the attention of the server, she refused to admit her mistake and actually suggested that my husband and I should not return to the club. Although we enjoy the club, we will never be eating breakfast there again due to the shocking service provided by these rude and inexperienced young employees.
Our brunch group of 14 had a great experience at this restaurant. Most of us ordered the full English breakfast with custom changes, and the staff happily accommodated our requests. The service was excellent, and the food was delicious. The breakfast was priced at £6, and a cup of tea only cost 80p. We will definitely be returning in the future.
I always enjoy a fantastic lunch at this restaurant. The sandwiches are like a meal with plenty of filling and a side salad. I have also had dinners there which have always been brilliant, with generous portions and delicious flavors. The Sunday roast is particularly amazing, although it can be hard to fit in a dessert afterwards because the meal is so satisfying. The carvery offers a wide selection of food, and I am always impressed by how reasonably priced everything is considering the quality. The staff are wonderful, always smiling and attentive. They have even gone out of their way to accommodate my restricted diet. This restaurant is simply the best in Hastings, and I love visiting it. I frequent the cafe twice a week and always make sure to stop by on Sundays. The hard work of the staff is truly commendable, and they deserve all the positive reviews they receive. This will always be my favorite cafe.
To the right of the Lifeboat station as you face the sea, head upstairs to the friendly bar/tea rooms. Fabulous views, ridiculously cheap prices and the friendliest staff. A limited menu but freshly cooked, £5.50 for a full English, veggie version available too. Also excellent stop off for a lunchtime pint. Highly recommended
Hidden away near the lifeboat station is the East Hastings Sea Angling Association. Even more hidden is the top storey, which is a bar serving good quality pub food. If that's what you want, give it a try. There is a fully stocked bar. (I am not usually partial to Harvey's Best, but they keep theirs in top condition and serve it at just the right temperature. The bar room is TARDIS-like but we prefer to sit outside on the balcony overlooking the Channel. There are four pub-style benches.
