Mel's Rock N' Bbq - Harrisburg

Mel's did an outstanding job catering a surprise 40th birthday party for us! They were incredibly easy to work with, offered fair prices, and the food was simply amazing! We had pulled pork, BBQ chicken, macaroni and cheese, and green beans. Most guests went back for seconds and thirds, and everyone raved about the food. Check out the pictures of the macaroni and cheese and the drink setup they arranged for us at the event! I highly recommend them for your next event!

The pulled pork was tasty, but the French fries had a strange flavor, as if they were cooked in old oil. My husband thought the chicken was just okay.

This restaurant is utterly disappointing. The noodles were warm and dry with no flavor at all. The "baked beans" were simply just beans. The highlight of the chicken sandwich was the bread, and that’s not saying much! Save your money and don't bother coming here.

Sad sad sad. Simple canned beans, wonder bread and frozen chicken strips trying to pass as bbq. I could have got the whole meal from the frozen aisle at giant for 2 bucks. The fries were cold and the chicken was chewy. Awful meal and the only reason I'm not giving 1 star is because I am sure covid has something to do with it. But don't lie and say you are a bbq food truck if you aren't going to bbq.

Back when Covid just started, everyone was in quarantine. Food trucks made their appearance in residential areas. Excited, I went out of quarantine to stand in a forever long line. Thankfully my neighbor was there too. The food I finally received.... horrible! The chicken was way overpriced, and some foods were obviously microwaved. I've never thrown out a full meal before. Mel's Rocket N' BBQ was the first (and only) meal I have ever thrown away. It was so bad, I can't even begin to describe it. I have eaten bad food many times, but this place was the worst I've ever had. The next day, I asked my neighbor about her food. She said she threw it out too!
