Restaurant bewertenThe staff at this restaurant were extremely rude. We stopped in around 5:30pm for a quick hot chocolate and noticed that almost every table was dirty with cups scattered everywhere. Despite finding a clean area to sit away from others (social distancing seemed to be a challenge), we were abruptly told we couldn't do so. The restaurant was nearly empty and there were no other clean tables available for the four of us to sit together. The girl cleaning seemed to be unreasonably rigid. We were left with only two options: either move to dirty tables or sit separately. Ultimately, we decided to leave and won't be returning. It would be beneficial for the staff to be trained on proper cleaning practices and how to communicate respectfully with customers.
The coffee was okay, but the staff were not wearing masks as they walked through the seating area, and customers were also not wearing masks while walking around, without anyone challenging them. Additionally, customers were not following the one-way system, indicating that it was not clearly communicated.
The coffee is decent, the atmosphere is modern but I was not overly impressed as the table service was not very efficient. I will come back again for my flat white.
This is a fairly large Costa cafe with a good level of seating and (extremely clean) toilet facilities. The Cafe is located in the town centre and so there is no adjacent parking but plenty of 'paid ' parking nearby. Floor signs help to maintain the required 2m distances near the sales counter and every table is appropriately sanitised which is comforting. The staff here were friendly and there was a good selection of food on offer. Unfortunately, there is perhaps insufficient staff and the queue for service took quite some time. Still, always a good coffee/snack to be had at Costa.
Visited for lunch today. Staff keeping up good cleaning practice. Quite busy owing to “eat out to help out” but no problem finding a table. Only problems were idiots who still don’t know what social distancing means and selfish customers who still use the place as their office, taking up tables with laptops and one takeaway drink. They should be encouraged to move on at busy times.
