Eisenhower Diner - Hanover

This place has a pleasant atmosphere and large portions. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Food was good and soup was excellent. Reasonable prices, especially considering the portions. It was very busy when I visited, but they handled the crowd well. The soup is very good.

My family and I had a wonderful time at this restaurant. The service was excellent. We were visiting from another state.

This restaurant is owned and/or managed by individuals who displayed racist behavior during my visit. Upon entering the lobby, a man was in the hostess area and warmly thanked a departing white couple, while completely ignoring me and my mother. We waited for 10 minutes before another man appeared, but also failed to acknowledge us. When an older white couple arrived, the first man immediately attended to them, prompting me to speak up and demand better treatment. After a significant wait, I decided to order takeout for five meals. The man estimated a 20 minute wait, but surprisingly brought out the food after only 10 minutes. Unimpressed by his service, I decided to leave without the food, mirroring the disrespect he had shown to me and my mother. I left the establishment, smiling and waving goodbye, deciding it was better to leave than to continue tolerating such behavior.

Would I return to Eisenhower Diner? Absolutely! Upon seeing the prices, we were skeptical about the quality, but we ended up buying two meals each for both lunch and dinner the next day. I opted for the stuffed dishes and the turkey with stuffing. The kartoffels with gravy were especially delicious. I will definitely order that again, along with another dish that I haven't decided on yet. My friend ordered the Philly cheese steak with fries, as well as a club sandwich with coleslaw and onion rings. When I saw the onion rings at another table, I had to order them too. The dining experience was fantastic and Alexa kept our soda glasses full. I hope they start offering Dr. Pepper in the future. Should you go to the diner? Absolutely yes! In fact, we are planning on going back tomorrow with more friends. Thank you for the delicious food, fair prices, and quick and personalized service!
