Read reviews from a Sunday national paper lastweek about The Farmers Inn and because I live close by, thought I'd take the wife and child for Sunday dinner. We were seated and placed a drinks order 2 pints of coke and one bottle diet coke. The pints of coke were very flat even though there was ice they seemed to me as if poured from a plastic bottle. I ordered a pint if diet coke and again flat as a pancake. We then waited at least 45 mins fir our starter.I ordered chowder which was nice. The wife ordered veg soup, I didn't like the look of it watery and she confirmed it was tasteless. We were fed up by thus stage and then waited another 40 mins fir our main. I ordered chicken, stuffing,creaming roast potatoes with veg. The chef ran out of stuffin but didn't bother telling me tried to hide it which I later found out when enquired. The waitress asked me would I like anything else I plightly said no. The veg were hard, I like my veg with a bit if bite but not hard and he obviously ran out of roast potatoes as we got roast chippings. The wife ordered brisket of beef with spuds and veg. The beef was nice but she couldn't eat the big fatty bit and her potatoes were lumpy, she couldn't eat the veg she likes them well cooked. The wee lad ate the chips he got sausage and chips, he didn't touch the ice cream chocolate, very sickening as they had no plain. Lol disaster just under £50 which would have been alright if the grub was up to scratch but it wasn't and I think the waitresses knew it. I was asked was everything ok, I was that annoyed I couldn't be bothered, didn't know where to start. So will not be back and I will be letting all know about this place. Disgrace. I give the one star for the chowder.
