Queen's Head - Hammersmith and Fulham

This was one of the most terrible pub experiences. on Saturday our friend celebrated her birthday in the garden and we had 4 tables. To be honest, the facility was very nice and we were happy. my partner and I arrived a little late and then we started talking and to friends to say hello. to be there within 5 minutes, a coworker came over and told us to sit, as we cannot stand up, welcome people (outside.) we forbid what he said and we repeatedly heard that it is a common thing that they asked my friends before. but then it became ridiculous to go table every time someone got up, when they were quiet for a minute or for more than one...read more

Two members of staff were so incredibly rude that my friends and I will not be returning to this pub. Appalling behaviour, one male staff member raised his voice and rolled his eyes at me for gently requesting that a side salad be replaced as...it was clearly rotten. Another male staff member shouted in my sisters face. Disgraceful behaviour. A pity as the other staff were so polite and accommodating. Bad apples ruining the whole event.

This was one of the most horrible pub experiences. On Saturday, our friend was celebrating her birthday in the garden and we had taken up tables. To be frank the set up was very nice and we were enjoying ourselves. My partner and I...arrived a bit late and then we started talking and saying hi to friends. Within min of being there, a staff member came over and told us to sit down as we can’t be stood up greeting people (OUTSIDE). We abided by what he said and we kept hearing that it’s a common thing they asked my friends before. But then it became ridiculous, every time someone stood up to walk to the other table, if they were idle for a minute or lingered upright for more than a couple of minutes, they were told off! And throughout (other than our table), the same rule wasn’t applied which is a bit odd. Again, we came late and we don’t know if the staff had some issues with other people from our party because they seemed adamant on making it a point (at some point it was mentioned to a friend that if she doesn’t sit down, we all will be asked to leave) once again, it bears repeating: we were all OUT in the garden. We then moved inside at (because we were told that the garden will be closed in half an hour). As we were ushered in, the whole party was split into tables but the tables in between “our” tables couldn’t belong to us as in tables near each other cannot be for the same party. Super odd. Given that there were wall dividers between the tables. The Minute someone would walk up to go greet the others who we were with seconds ago in the garden, they were met with rude staff asking them to sit down. We get it, it’s covid, things are weird, rules have to be followed. But this was taking it to a whole different level. It’s a shame given that the space is nice (the garden at least), but me and my party would not be returning.

First pub after been months in South Africa. fantastic chicken burger, great selection of beers, friendly staff. Going back for Sunday roast.

We came for lunch. Very welcoming staff, covid secure without any drama, lovely ambience and the food was excellent. Would return.
