El Nonno Restaurant - HAMILTON SOUTH

We visited this restaurant for the second time and once again it was extremely busy, with people waiting at the door. Despite the slow service, we didn't mind because the food was outstanding. The saltimbocca was so tender and delicious, with a perfectly balanced lemon sauce. The pasta and meatballs were just like Nonna makes. We absolutely adore this place.

I haven't been to El Nonno in a while, but it won't be long before my next visit! I love that you can have a conversation, even us older folks with hearing impairments can join in, especially outside. Owner Alex and his team always make dining a pleasure, with great food, attentive service, and a laid-back atmosphere. Bringing your own wine or beer is a great option, saving money and ensuring you can enjoy your favorite drink. El Nonno is truly one of our favorite dining spots.

A birthday dinner for our sone and wow what fantastic service, our waitress was brilliant, food was incredible- our first visit and we'll certainly be back again!

The carbonara is the best I've ever eaten in my entire life. The creamy sauce is absolutely heavenly and executed perfectly. At first I wasn't sure if I could even finish such a large portion (which looked like it was served in a salad bowl), but after the first mouthful everything just disappeared into my stomach. I definitely recommend the carbonara, especially as it doesn't break the bank. Give it a try, once you start you can't stop.
