Um, this place serves Japanese food? I had no idea.__I got the koi burger lunch special $(10 including fries) and this was probably the best burger I have

I was hoping for a better experience at Koi. I wasn't overly impressed with my food and I felt like the servers weren't overly imterested in serving our table, or any table around us. Unfortunate.

My boyfriend, brother and sister in law ate at this restaurant the night of the Tragically Hip concert. Our waitress Ayla was amazing! The food was good and priced well. However, what we witnessed from the manager (I use manager very loosely) as the way he was treating his staff was disgusting! He was demanding and down right rude to the them! We witnessed him aggressively push plates of food that were ready to be served into a waitresses hands. The staff was literally running from the floor to the kitchen and working as fast as they could and yet that was not fast enough or good enough for him. Perhaps he could have given them a hand instead of giving them dirty looks of disgust. I honestly don't know how this place keeps any staff with being treated that way! Our waitress Ayla was amazing! I even told her she as well as the others deserve to be treated better than that and should find another job. When we were leaving the manager was in the back, we waited a few minutes and had to leave. If he was on the floor I would have told him that his rude, abrasive behaviour towards the staff was disgusting! We will NEVER return to this restaurant!
