Restaurant bewertenI remembered that this restaurant in the hamilton spectator was written a few years back and always wanted to try. Now, I moved to the upper ottawa quarter in the last month and was now again three times because of the quality of the food....The decor is nothing imaginasia and the restaurant part of ace’s is just a great space with the sportable through another door. what the decor lacks, good eating certainly provides on taste and in portions sizes. my first time in the restaurant, my friend and I had the huh Schisch-Kebab with Greek salate and rice. the huh was tender, marinated and cooked for perfection. the meal was served hot and I think I left only a few rips, it was so good. the next visit was last Monday afternoon after the bowling. again my friend and I wanted to tempt another trostessen on a very cold day. After we heard that the hot turkey sandwich was made with real and mostly dark meat, we were both sold. that was perfect comfort that met our stomachs and souls. the carrots were made in the house, and the vegetables were cut carrots and my favourite: beef. the engraving was quite delicious and piping hot over the truthahn and slices brot. the amount of food for was estimated. for my last visit, yesterday at midday, my friends and I chose various escapes. I had the reuben sandwich and a small Greek salate that was a price add-on. a friend had the homemade cream of mushroom soup and reuben sandwich, and the other had the julienne salat. if they are familiar with reuben sandwiches, they are typically made with Swiss cheese on roasted roggenbrot. ace makes her so prepared with a Cheddar cheese. it was delicious, but I missed the Swiss cheese I know. I asked for senf instead of the thousand island dressing they serve it with here. there were many cut maisbeef and brownish sour wort to make this a stacked sandwich. my friend has enjoyed his watch of mushroom soup and it seemed to have many cut mushrooms. the server brought my other friend two types of salat dressing on the side so that she could taste the homemade Italian dressing. I will return to this restaurant and bring my friends. the food was excellent so far and I now know why this is a favorite that attracts the regulars here. good quality eating, cooking house style, very reasonable prices and good portion sizes corresponds to ace family restaurant.
I went to ace with friends on Wednesday night. they had a local band the art crawlers I think. the service and the experience were great as the music. the people danced, ate and had a few beers. I drove so I couldn't drink, but they still served me well. that was great. it is possible to get a good meal for under or even if they receive the daily special. people like the fish and chips. the beer was not too expensive. the French pommes were good. it seems like there's a lot of masters who know each other, but they were all kind. this is better than a compassible because they eat, talk and drink when they drive home. I'll take my friends there. many parking spaces on the other side of the road in the rexall plaza when the partie is full.
For years regular patron saint of this little jewel. family restaurant serving breakfast, lunch and dinner; is also connected with a sporty one that offers entertainment from time to time. we have never been disappointed with a meal. various menus.
We came here because our neighbours told us about this place. not very large, but the staff is courteous and friendly. our eating was hot and came out pretty fast. our meals were delicious and cheap. we'll be back.
My husband and I eat at Ace's Family Restaurant on at least a weekly basis and have never had a bad meal. The dinner specials are always delicious and the staff are very friendly and attentive. If you are looking for a new family gathering...spot, this would be the place.
