Restaurant bewertenEat here often. Always satisfied. Customer service is acceptable, but they can certainly learn to smile a bit more.
My boyfriend and I come here often, sometimes once a week! I've been coming here for years and love the food, it's consistent and tastes great. It's the cheapest all-you-can-eat sushi I've been too specifically lunch, dinner price is average. I'm not an adventurous sushi eater lol so I personally wouldn't know about some items on the menu. The soup, is disgusting. It tastes like hot water with cabbage in it. ZERO flavor. That's the one disappointment I have with the food. The service however, is HORRIBLE. The servers don't speak a word of english expect for "okay" and they are rude at that. My boyfriend can't use chopsticks and when he asked for a fork it's like it's too hard of a job. Overall great food but the service needs major improvement.
We are regulars at Kyoto (at least once a month), sometimes dinning in and other times ordering take out. The food is always very fresh, and portion sizes are decent. The "all you can eat" is great as there is a vast selection however DO NOT order more than you can eat as they charge extra for uneaten portions. The short ribs are delicious as is the eggplant teriyaki. We have never had a bad meal, but I do think the prices are steep. The customer service lacks a little but all in all a great place to eat.
We have been to Kyoto's a number of times previously. We've found the food consistently good but have always had issues with service getting very slow prior to leaving the restaurant. I went last Thursday night with my two teen daughters. It was not a busy night. We waited over 15 minutes and finally just brought our order on a sheet of paper to the cashier. Eventually, the waitress came and asked us if we wanted something to drink. We were brought 4 or 5 dishes that we didn't order but the food we did order was delicious, as always. We waited another 15 minutes before we were able to order dessert. We have consistently had issues but this was our worst visit yet and we will be making the trip to Milton or Mississauga for Sushi in the future.
Service is ok. They are very quiet and not overly helpful in explaining the menu (this is likely a language barrier) but they are polite, efficient, and it's rare that ordered items are missing. If they do miss one just let them know and they bring it quickly.Food is not excellent but definitely good. Sushi has been consistently good with good variety. Sashimi is hit or miss depending on who the sashimi chef is that day. Some days the sashimi is sliced very well and other days it is sloppy and cut incorrectly. Fried food are done well and not greasy. Dipping sauce options are limited. Teriyaki steak and salmon are excellent. Stir fry and noodle options are pretty good but the flavours are very repetitive in many of the dishes. Menu is fairly extensive and there are choices for everyone. Prices are good and the atmosphere is quaint and clean. When we don't want to leave town, this is a great choice for lunch or dinner.
