Restaurant bewertenTrue Japanese dessert cafe. Need to experience it. Ramen was a bit pricey but the soup was not too oily nor salty. Make-you-feel-good healthy comfort food. Just the portion could be bigger. The green tea was surprisingly good. Nicely steeped and deep flavour. Went so well with the desserts ????
Amazing to have such a high profile tea house from Japan in Halifax. The interior is large with lots of seating. There is a kitchen in the back where they bake and prepare items for sale. Friendly staff and lots of food items to choose from. If you haven't tried Tsujiri, you absolutely have to. I recommend the hojicha latte (my goto) and the matcha rolls.
Went for Asian Food Festival. Dango was chewy and came in three flavours with a cup of brown sugar syrup on the side. Tonkotsu soba was rich and creamy with fatty chashu. The matcha sakura latte was delicate and not too sweet. I'm not usually a fan of heady floral flavours but this was lighter than other sakura drinks I've had. I really wanted to try the sakura foam matcha but unfortunately it wasn't available; neither was the matcha mousse cake.
It?s a great place where you can have authentic Japanese food with Japanese ambience. The staff were always friendly and kind. They are willing to help you pick a better option. Everything related to matcha is specialized in their way, which is very similar to authentic Japanese matcha. What I really like is that their matcha is not too sweet.
Dessert is delicious! The environment is nice too and it opens late. It seems pretty new and I really like the seats. It feels relaxing sitting in the comfortable chair and read, with the public garden right across the street
