Aura Restaurant Bar - Hackensack

The restaurant is a surprising hole in the wall in Hackensack, honestly never expected to find such a quality place, the drinks were great, service was good and the food was delicious. Also they had a great Dj which transformed the dining experience, will definitely be visiting again!

Wonderful new place. Had a great time. Drinks are really good. They had live music that made the place vibrant.

Similar to other reviewers, I made a reservation and was lost in the ground in the snow. the host and the staff were not very friendly. there is no waiting area that made the weight very unpleasant and when I wait, I mean the 50 minutes that passed by the host with absolutely no communication. we decided to take a drink while we waited and although it is marketed as a full bar, it had a very limited choice. the drinks were subpar and overpriced for quality. while he took a drink for the extremely long waiting period, the host forgot about us and sat all who came after us. I approached him and told him that we were going, not even an apology was offered, in which he could not take care less.

It was my birthday dinner with family. the waitress was nice, but the service was terrible! the reservation was about 7 o'clock, apps did not arrive until 20 o'clock and dinner was not until 9 o'clock! two hours later. drinks and apps were good entrees I was not impressed. we didn't even order cake because it would probably take another hour. one of my guests had to send their drinks back twice because it was gone. the third time was finally right and they enjoyed it. when they asked for another round of drinks, did they say that bartender didn't want to make drinks for my gas?! then a random worker sent by to show a picture of drinks. it was just so unprofessional and rude. I'll never go back. the only part I enjoyed was the only drink I had allowed in my own birthday and dj.

Waitress was good… Management and the outside promoter were obnoxious. I have eaten in 1,000+ restaurants in my life and I have never been asked to move tables in the middle of our meal …. I were made to feel very unwelcome. I would highly recommend selecting another restaurant … this place was awful and the food was mediocre, at best.
