Restaurant bewertenI can't tell you how many times I walked by this place without actually thinking about what it was.
I don't get itSeriously, it's just paste in a bunNo flavour at allThe fries are sub-par also.
I was staring at the menu that they have on the wall and was a little confused, the owner (who was behind the counter) asked me it was my first time here
I love a good story, especially one about young entrepreneurs. I also love schnitzel, so these two things should have earned it an automatic 3* with room to move up. I called for a delivery order, and the first time I called the phone rang and rang, eventually going to voicemail. If there isn't enough staff to answer the phone on a Friday at 5:00, there's a scheduling problem. I waited 5 minutes and called back, able to place my order this time. I ordered 2 oozing sandwiches with an assortment of fixings and 2 orders of poutine. The order arrived in a respectable 30min and we prepared for some wow! Unfortunately, we were both seriously underwhelmedThe buns were stale. Not just 'not fresh' they were really stale. The schnitzel was just ok....kinda ho-hum, thin and lacking in flavour. Thank goodness for the bacon I ordered. The poutine....?Just a large handful of frozen fries, drenched in canned or powdered gravy and topped with shredded cheese. If one is going to call something poutine they should at least use curds. Shredded cheese is a fake, cheap substitute. I guess this would be an burger or pizza alternative for the after-bar crowd/students who need something quick and aren't looking for quality.
Always very tasty, with fun toppings to choose from and an interesting menu. Consistently good for a quick lunch, however service could improve. There's often only one person working at the front, and one at the back during the lunch rush.
