47 Anno Domini Groningen

I revisited Anno Domini this evening as I was late getting in to my hotel and needed a familiar fix after a drive across Europe and the last 300 kms restricted by the 100 kmh limit in the Netherlands which was frustrating. This has to be my most favourite restaurant for staff friendliness, quality of food and wine and price!!! I arrived frustrated with the drive and left feeling great about the world, now that’s a turn around brought on by a brilliant place! Groningen you are so lucky to have this place!!

One of my favorite Italian restaurants in Groningen. High quality food ingredients, great menu, great atmosphere, and excellent service. Don’t leave Groningen without visiting this restaurant.

A perfect place for a date. The service is great and the food is to die for. The menu changes every season, which means you can always discover something new. Interior is simply beautiful. There are wine pairings included for every dish in the menu, which is a great option for a wine laïc such as myself. I tried four different pastas here, which were all a hit. Perfect combination of flavors and textures. Bruschetta is also great. Unfortunately, the tiramisu was not to my tastes it had too little cream and too much coffee in my opinion.

Absolutely astonishing. I was amazed by unique combinations on their pizzas. Wine was great. The restaurant has a great vibe, it feels very intimate. Prices were surprisingly low for a place of this quality (9-14 EUR for a pizza, 4-6 for glass of wine). I would love to return here someday.
