Restaurant bewertenI'm afraid I have to change my rating to a star, because there's nothing lower. I never thought I'd say that, but the crystal grill is on the way out. I've been eating there for over forty years and never had a bad meal or a complain. The baked calf cuts have been excellent for years. it was my favorite, but now it's just rough. it was transformed into pork, which has a bad taste, regardless of how they cook it, while the gravur is now simply brown engraving with a lot of salt in it. it tastes nothing like it did a year ago. my family and I made a special trip to greenwood on Friday, 21 May 2021, just to go to the crystal grill. we were all very disappointed to say the least. I brought it to the attention of the girl when I went to pay, but she has only a bad attitude about it. in the back room where we sat, another person was in vain. I drew attention to the waitress, but she just did something and went away. my family should be right not to breathe another's cancer. also the waiting staff has no respect for others. when cleaning tables they simply throw the crooked and cute into the tub, without considering how loud and ohrpiercing it is. so much for a quiet comfortable meal. who drives here? they do a terrible job in it and just have to stop! unnecessary to say this is the last visit we will ever make to the crystal grill. it has lost its whole quality and attractiveness. there are better places to go!
Great lunch. Best homemade, warm, soft, yeast rolls I've ever had and served with plenty of butter. Tamales were good as an appetizer. I had vegetable plate good. Husband had shrimp stuffed with crab meat. Excellent. Coconut pie for dessert. Good meringue but didn't taste fresh. Still five stars can't go wrong. Don't pass it by. Stop.
Enjoyed my lunch! Went with my husband and children and my parents! We all enjoyed our seafood platters, fried chicken livers, po boys and spaghetti with meatballs! But the best, was the pies!!!
Is underwhelmed a real word? Well if definitely applied to our experience at The Crystal Grill. This is primarily a local establishment and not meant to be a tourist destination. It reinforced my theory that we should only get seafood on the coast. The catfish and oysters were good but the rest of the seafood platter not so much. Don't bread and fry scallops and a crab cake should not weigh more that the plate. The shrimp were tasteless. Additionally the gumbo we got for a starter was lukewarm and had shells. The brownie that was included in the meal was thick and dry and lacked flavor. Their famous pies cost extra, by the way. Let me comment a little on the decor. Our table leaned to the center of the building as it seemed the whole building slanted. The tshirt display was in disarray and the management seemed to be doing work at a central table. Again, I get that this caters to locals and maybe was not intended to be a destination
Love going there when I can. I enjoy the cutlets and the lemon pie
