Great authentic German food. had never been in Malthausen and fell in love with her. it felt like a second language was German.

1st time experience in a German restaurant only one word, Fantastic! From the greeters to the waitress, from the restaurant setting to food, from drinks to dessert... enjoyed it very much every minute in the Schwaben House. For sure making it one of my favorite restaurants in town! Btw, I hope you enjoy the wheat beer as much as I do, cheers! ?

This was one of the best German restaurants that my husband and I have ever been to since returning from Europe. The Weiner schnitzel was excellent and we suggest you try the country potatoes. And save room for the Apple Strudel! We loved the great service, cozy atmosphere, very untypical of German knock off places. This was very tasteful. Would suggest for a date night or romantic dinner or special lunch. If you've never had German food, this is the place to go. The bar was really cool as well. The attention to detail was amazing: from the cloth tablecloths to the presentation of the food and dessert, no detail was missed. Highly recommend

Beautifully decorated restaurant. Popular with the locals. Nice meals but pricey. Some authenticity and some shortcuts in meals and drinks. They say they cannot seat you at a 2 seater table if you are alone. Must sit at bar. Worth a visit.

Outstanding authentic German food! Absolutely recommendable.Also really good Italian carpaccio!
