Blair Hill Inn, Moosehead Lake

We are back for our second stay with Jenn and her amazing staff. Wow! We love this place and it was a pleasant surprise to Lear that it is on the Relais Chateaux listings. They deserve it! The view is spectacular, the hospitality makes one feel immediately welcome like old friends, and the accommodations are flawless. We will be back again and again. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5

I'll start this by saying we have never stayed here and I HATE leaving negative reviews. We had a reservation for my husband's birthday last year in August. He got COVID three days prior to our stay. So, because we aren't monsters, we cancelled. They told us we could use the credit within a year, which seemed consistent with other place's policies in the timeframe 2022). We LOVE Relais and Chateaux properties. We've stayed at several and frequent Camden Harbor Inn often. We live in Maine and were quite excited to try Blair Hill. They said we had a year to use the credit; and, admittedly, I left it late. I called them to book for a few weeks from now, and they said I didn't have a credit they don't credit cancellations. Now, I may pay $1200 again for a room, because see above) we love R&C properties, would love to visit Moosehead, etc. But, in this situation, the alternative here was that I came for my reservation knowing we had COVID and expose all the other guests and their staff. ...I'd hate to be on the other side of that equation, getting COVID because someone didn't want to lose $1200. Blair Hill, I was so looking forward to staying with you. I'm sorry about this 1* review, but $1200 is a lot of money. I won't knowingly expose others to COVID or any other highly infectious disease), but you shouldn't encourage that behavior in your guests. But by not telling me that a year ago, it negated any travel insurance I could have used through my platinum card. : sad to lose so much money because we did not want to infect your staff.

My husband and I spent a few days at this very special Inn on Moosehead Lake. Blair Hill Inn is really special in so many ways. The location is breathtaking, the staff is outstanding, the food was absolutely delicious. Jen and her staff made us feel right at home. The room was so comfortable and the view was stunning. I would give The Blair Hill Inn 10 stars if that was an option. We can't wait to return. Rooms: 5 Service: 5 Location: 5
