Restaurant bewertenWe thoroughly enjoyed our visit here. Yes, the set up is basic but I prefer they do that and have more effort on the food which they do! We had the choice of 2 of the 3 entrees and I really enjoyed the Bozono Shira with rice for mains. We found the food very flavoursome but not too hot and would really like to go again and try some different dishes. The waiter who served us was fabulous- friendly, great humor, ready to answer any questions we had. Any other staff were all friendly with a smile and a hello.
I booked for 7.30 we arrived 7.25 said I had a booked they seemed confused. But seated us. We were told which entree we were getting and no choice between the meat or lentil version. We each ordered a main while the lamb seemed generous the chicken dish had one small chicken piece. Over all it was ok. But I won't go back.
Went with a voucher on saturday night. Venue has plenty parking. Basic cheap furnishings.. Felt like being in an unloved room.Greeted by an older man who had no interest in our custom, showed us to our table. He then retreated behind the bar to watch tv.Restaurant was less than a quarter full. For entree, not surprised the beef sambussa (filled pastry) ran out so we had the lentil version. Tasty with a good amount of spice. Mains of Dorro Wat (chicken stew) and Tibs Special (lamb in ethiopian spices)Both were full of flavour but more sauce than meat.Mains came with enjerra which is a sour pancake styled 'bread'. The enjerra comes rolled up and is spongey... Could be confused with a rolled up wet towel :) . It was different but tasty and great to sponge up the sauces from mains. The waiters we guess were father and son, while grandad seated us.We were served by the son who was friendly always smiling.A simple basic two course meal with no ambience. Voucher value overpriced though. No recommending features and so would not return.
As part of a staff development day a group of 25+ enjoyed a yummy Ethiopian Buffet. Lots of variety.
I had heard this place reviewed and was intrigued to try an African meal. I had purchased a groupon voucher for three courses and wine. We handed over our voucher on arrival and were seated. The tables are worse than you would see in a modern shopping centre food hall. We were not given a menu and nor were we given any choices as far as what we would be eating. We were not given any description of what the food was or how to eat it! The glass of wine we were gien was cask quality and we were not offered another drink all evening. On leaving the restaurant I didnt feel well and by the time I got home (a fifteen minute drive) I was unwell. I was sick from this restaurant for four days!!!!!! I will NEVER return.
