Restaurant bewertenI decide to look for something different from usual Alberta steak places and ran into this cozy Japanese restaurant. Highly recommended for people who know that the Japanese cuisine does not stop on sushi. Excellent pork shoyu ramen. Than a selection a various sashimi. My favourite is toro (tuna belly). Nice Japanese music and excellent service. I am sure they also serve great sushi if rice is what you like. Highly recommended.
I arrived for lunch at 12:40 and there were five other people in the restaurant. The grumpy hostess offered me a seat on a bar stool. I showed her my heavily pregnant belly, and asked to sit at a table instead. She grumbled and sat me at a table at the far rear of the restaurant, next to the storage room - there were plenty of open tables throughout the restaurant. While I was waiting for my food, I witnessed the sushi maker coughing over whatever he was making, and three times during my twenty minute lunch I smelled cigarette smoke coming into the restaurant from the rear receiving door. My ginger ale tasted old, and when I went to pay, the man completely ignored me, answered the phone and left to go do who knows what. I will never go to his restaurant again. The service was deplorable. I hope I don't end up getting a cough from the man who made my lunch. Disgusting.
I ordered a variety of roles for myself and a client. The food was fresh and flavorful with large portions. Will be visiting again!
Friendly staff and great Japanese food selection! Love the Chicken Teriyaki! :) Will definitely come back!
Eat here fairly regularly, the food is always fresh and the service is REALLY great. They always remember you and stop for a chat which is nice! Favorite things: Beef Butter Yaki, Sukiyaki, Lunch Box C, fitness roll and my husband loves the beef yakisoba! Also their miso soup is much better than the other places in town.
