Restaurant bewertenThis company ruins the quality (both food service) of every restaurant it acquires.
Please stop buying great restaurants and ruining them. We used to love 44th street diner/noble and you ruined that. Now you're ruining real food cafe. And a 3% unannounced surcharge is ridiculous. For $1.64 you're willing to lose a long term customer?
Just learned about your take over of popular local eateries around GR and I have to say, I'm so disappointed. I recently visited Noble Restaurant and the experience was utterly terrible. Gordon Food Service ingredients everywhere you look. Nothing made fresh. My omelette could have fit in the palm of my hand it was so small. Not to mention cold and tasteless. The hollandaise sauce was so obviously microwaved prior to being served (you could at least stir it after you pull it out). And to top it all off, we waited for 50 minutes for our food, a table of 4 with only 2 omelettes, a waffle and a classic breakfast. They weren't even busy. You should be ashamed of yourselves.
Tried to put this in a message so I didn't have to put you on public blast but since your website isn't accepting messages, here goes nothin'... I just left a positive Google review on Red Geranium's page because the service and food we had today were both great. I want to address the 3% surcharge on the receipt. I completely understand rising costs. Pretty sure most people do. However, adding a fee to a receipt that ends up just being an unpleasant surprise when a customer gets their bill is in poor taste. I think it will be detrimental to your waitstaff as well who now has to deal with potential complaints. Our 3% ended up being 90 cents, which isn't much, but it was the principle of how it was sneakily added to the bill that is upsetting. Raise your menu prices 3% so your customers know what the charge will be before their bill comes. Raise it on the menu so your waitstaff who are already scrambling to cover for short staffing, doesn’t have something else to deal with and something negative happening right at the moment a customer is deciding what tip to leave. This is poor business practice. I strongly suggest you rethink this 3% surcharge.
Awesome restaurant group. Real people. Red Geranium, Omlette Shoppe, Grand Coney, Sundance Grill and many more fantastic restaurants.
