Restaurant bewertenThe deli food is always awesome there, and staff is always helpful and friendly
Took a chance and tried Parker Kitchen today. Nobody greets you, about three employees leaning on the counter playing with their phones. The kitchen manager is rude and nasty. I'm telling her my food is not hot. She's telling me it's fresh. It could be fresh but it's not hot. As long as that Manager is working there I won't be back.
The atmosphere at this restaurant feels quite lackluster, and the staff seems unmotivated. It’s disappointing to see how some actions, like those of Brandon, have impacted the work ethic in America.
During a recent visit, I ordered a breakfast platter and watched as a young server prepared it. She was wearing dirty latex gloves and, after opening cabinet doors, she returned to serving food without changing them. She scooped my grits and eggs, then proceeded to grab several pieces of bacon with the same gloved hand straight from the container. I politely suggested that she use tongs instead, given her gloves weren't clean. This seemed to upset her; she grabbed the tongs angrily, tossed some bacon into my box, and without a word, set it on the counter before walking away. I attempted to enjoy breakfast there a few more times, but today was my last visit. I ordered the breakfast bowl and watched in disappointment as the server filled it halfway with grits, added only a small spoonful of eggs, and two tiny pieces of bacon that didn't even make up a full strip. Ultimately, I ended up with a bowl of mostly grits and very little egg or bacon. It feels like the portion sizes are inconsistent depending on who the customer is, which is concerning. Furthermore, the food quality has declined; it's not as fresh, often greasier, and frequently overcooked. I've decided it's time to try Waffle House, where I can get a cooked-to-order breakfast—fresh and satisfying—for just a dollar or two more.
This is a fantastic combination of a gas station and convenience store, with delicious fried chicken sandwiches. The fuel prices are very competitive compared to other stations in the area. The women at the food counter are wonderful—very helpful, always smiling, and their laughter truly makes you feel at home.
