First time eating here. The wonton and hot and sour soup is good, the wonton filling is very meaty and you get a generous portion in the soup. The dishes with mixed vegetable have a lot of snow peas and carrot, which is a good thing to me. There are a lot of vegetables and the meat is velveted very well to be soft and tender. We got the order to go and it was packaged securely and the order was correct. A little far from home to be my regular spot but I wish it was closer. Oh, and I really want to give this place five stars but I am an honest reviewer that hardly ever gives fives. I want to though just to counter the unknowledgeable reviewers giving one star for reasons such as the vegetables were not cooked till very soft, and there wasn't enough sauce... Really? Stir fry isn't supposed to have soft lifeless vegetables and there is too much sauce already if anything. It's American style Chinese takeout... Go to Panda Express already! Just kind of made me angry because these are the type of people who order items with the little red chilli next to it and complain that it's spicy, or something with oyster sauce and complain that it's fishy... Premium oyster sauce is a little fishy and it is a very common ingredient in these sauces. They also serve Thai style food so fish sauce may be present. They have an option to get most items without sauce and then you can use straight soy sauce or chili sauce yourself. You can just get white rice as well. Anyway, the dishes I saw being brought out to the tables while I was waiting for my takeout looked very good and I wish this was closer to home. Again, four stars from me is a very good rating.
We eat at the Goodlettsville very often because the food is very good and not pricey. Today I ordered delivery. We were not only disappointed but surprised. The special fried rice was brown rice that tasted like it had been sautéed in butter. It had 4 pieces of shrimp and nothing else. I had also ordered the large and received a small. We couldn’t eat it. Service: Delivery
Ordered the Szechuan chicken, it came with hibachi rice, and the orange chicken with the hibachi rice. Also ordered vegetable lo mein and chicken lo mein. The chicken lo mein I don 't believe it has (real) chicken in it, the meat was a strange texture, tried to feed the meat to our cat, and she wouldn 't even touch it and she loves chicken. Very strange. Not to mention I detect a fish taste and smell in the chicken lo mein which makes me gag, I detest fish of any kind. You shouldn 't be cross contaminating food like that, you don 't know who may be allergic to fish. The hibachi rice had strange taste to it also, can 't place it but definitely off and not in a good way. Needed to dump it into the orange chicken sauce, which helped tremendously. But the Szechuan chicken and Orange chicken was good! Can 't rate more than 2 stars due to the cross contamination of the chicken with fish. Just gross.
There’s something about that hibachi rice, that taste so healthy and flavorful at the same timehands off to the kitchen Service: Take out Meal type: Dinner Price per person: $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes: Mongolian Beef Fried Rice
