Jay’s Kitchen - Goldsboro

2/12/22 We went on a double date here. I was a bit confused because I thought I made a reservation at the other Jay 's sushi and burger place. That place is closed (maybe temporarily? . We were seated down immediately. I 'm glad we made a reservation because it was packed in there, and wait time was around 40 minutes. We started with the pork belly nachos. It was good (it has onions for those who hate onions like me . I orderd the scottish roll, it was really good. We shared the tempura ice cream. It was delicious! As for their cocktails, I had the geisha. I wish they had description on the cocktails. I wasn 't really a fan of it. Yeah it was sweet but flavor was weird. Our waitress was nice but I could tell she got overwhelmed/frustrated for some reason. She checked on us, and we asked for to go plates. She responded Well can I first get these plates like of course, we weren 't demanding the to go boxes that very moment... She was this caucasion older lady. The bathrooms seeme cleaned and elegant. Overall great experience, great vibes and atmosphere. Would def recommend coming here for a date night.

Delicious! This has become one of my new favorite restaurants. The food was excellent, and the sushi was expertly prepared. The interior and exterior decor were lovely, with clean and well-maintained furnishings. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The restaurant is located in Goldsboro, which offers plenty to do while you're in the city.

I just wanted to share my thoughts. The food is excellent! Jay's has improved since Young's, but it's time to replace those splintered bowls. Definitely a five-star experience! I can't wait to try more dishes. I love the samurai armor decor, and the miso was fantastic! I also hope to try the bubble tea. The lighting, however, is quite dim.

I visited this restaurant while on a business trip and had to try their sushi since I love it. I've traveled extensively both in the U.S. and internationally, but this place truly impressed me. I ordered the Scottish sushi twice because it was that good! The miso soup also had a unique flavor compared to what I'm used to; they make their own special version that everyone should try. The atmosphere was friendly, very organized, and clean, and the staff really appreciated our tips. The bar was beautiful, and I don't usually mention this, but the restroom was exceptionally clean!

Visit them not as good as last. still, still, server leave glasses empty. I really think it has something to do with the proximity of the waiting staff and the bar. they should think the dinge new. server go to death. but very grateful for the additional efforts to find a table for our larger group without reservations, as walk-ins. eating and drinks were great. we had a great family coming together and laughed so much. it was necessary.
