Restaurant bewertenWe dined at this restaurant multiple times during our visit and thoroughly enjoyed our experience each time. The service was excellent and the atmosphere was an added bonus. The prices were reasonable. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Make sure to seek out this cafe and soak in its calm ambiance, whether you choose to sit outside by the water or inside the cozy lounges that exude an old-world charm. The owners and staff are welcoming, and the food and coffee are delicious. It's the perfect spot to while away an afternoon with a good book.
The service at REaD is friendly and efficient, and the menu, while limited to pizzas, quiches, and cakes, offers a refreshing change from typical cafe fare. Located in the Paradise Island Resort, slightly off the beaten track, the cafe may be a bit tricky to find. However, it is well worth the effort to seek out this gem. Just a short distance from the Surfers Paradise G station, REaD is a hidden treasure waiting to be discovered. Once found, I have no doubt that patrons will keep coming back for more.
Met friends here this evening what a haven from the business of Surfers! It's only been open a month or so apparently. The position is lovely, right on the river and a lovely breeze on a hot day! As far as alcohol is concerned,...they only serve wine, beer cider. The wine is locally sourced from Tambourine Mountain which is a plus as far as I'm concerned the less miles travelled the better. I had a Merlot Cabernet which was was lovely. Unfortunately, one of our group had a soy cappuccino which wasn't great but all other teas coffees were fine. Definitely worth another visit!
This café/bookstore combo has a lot going for it. It's almost in the heart of busy, bustling Surfers Paradise, yet situated in its own little piece of quiet and serenity on Paradise Island in Paradise Island Resort. The first thing that strikes you as soon...as you enter the venue is the space and the lovely wide deck leading down to the jetty and water. The staff are friendly and welcoming and the décor has been tastefully done. This is an ideal venue to meet friends for coffee or lunch, and to host bigger events, such as book launches, book clubs, author encounters, and workshops. The day I was there the owners were trialling their brand new pizza oven, and we got to taste the results. Our verdict: delicious!
