Restaurant bewertenThe Health Food Center is a neat small market with islands of preserved and packaged vegetarian and vegan meat substitutes, broths and spices, coolers and a few cookbooks. I bought soya curls, vegan parmesan cheese, chicks season and a vegan cookbook. In any case, it is worth checking out from you in Glendale.
It's a very sweet business. Worth a visit if you live nearby. My grandfather was raised 7. Day Adventist and the meat substitute are very recognizable to me from childhood. Mostly preserved textured vegetable protein (white glue). The selection is small and concentrates on vegetarian food (Vegans read the labels). There are no trendy or new products. You will not find any health food. You will find Adventist style vegetarian meat substitute, spices mock ups, some colas and regular bagged chips. If you are down below to explore a traditional Adventist meat substitute, this shoppe is really fun. No vegetables or products. Most shopping are Christian books, stationary and calendars.
This restaurant offers unique items that are not easily found elsewhere. They specialize in faux meats and canned goods. I particularly enjoy using their dried soy protein from the bulk section in stews.
The soy curls at this restaurant are less expensive than on Amazon. This is a good choice for basic items, but name brand products will be pricier.
The entire menu at this restaurant is vegetarian or vegan! They offer unique items that are hard to find elsewhere. I have been a customer for 10 years and have never encountered any issues regarding my dietary preferences. The staff is very helpful and friendly, always willing to answer any questions about the food.
