Restaurant bewertenI came in search of a money exchange shop so that I could exchange my last £20 into dollars and instead ended up in a cafe spending money I can't afford to spend but I don't regret it. I got a bowl of salad and at first I was disappointed because it had hardly any smoked salmon on the top but then I found that the salad was in layers and there was actually loads of everything. It was really delicious and the cheapest salad I've seen in Melbourne that consists of more than 1 ingredient and more than 7 leaves. I got to the end of the salad and felt frustrated at the difficulty of eating the last bits of salad from the bowl with a fork but alas, the cutlery worked on a self-service system. I'd taken a knife and fork at the beginning. The issue was my own and I was free to fetch a spoon or use my coffee spoon. The coffee was nice, the food was nice and the staff were nice too. I would highly recommend this nice place.
As a new St.Kilda resident it's so amazing to find such a hidden treasure like Banff. The fireplace and warmth makes it feel like an extension of your lounge room. So homely!!!! You must try the Almond porridge for breakkie and the coffee in a cone is delicious!
Wow loved this place,it's a hidden treasure! Amazing staff gorgeous food and atmosphere one of a kind,I will be back for sure on my next visit to Melbourne
I have been living in Melbourne for over a year and I truly believe that Banff is one of the best, if not the best cafe I have been to. The staff is always extremely friendly and, most importantly, the food and coffee, especially the hot chocolate, were the best I have had in Melbourne. Take your time and enjoy the great atmosphere with some wonderful people, food, and drinks! Thank you, Banff!
Great funky, cosy place to have a meal and a drink on a cold day
